Oates Celebrates

By Mill House

The best thinbg about not losing when you are on the telly is that you can watch the replays as many times as you want. No doubt the shrewd Sir Ronnie will have spent all weekend doing that after we upset the pundits, the BBC and Man Utd Old Boys by not losing against a game Salford side ..

So what did all those replays and slo-mos tell us? Not much more than we have gleaned in recent weeks - to be honest.

In summary: Mandron doesn't want to be at Pools otherwise he would have worn boots with studs;  Fenwick is never a wide player and will now be getting mercilessly ribbed for his thorough bad luck in heading that ball backwards; Bingham may not score too many goals but has skill and pace which unsettles defences: Carroll is not doing enough going forwards.

Of course, Moore is hamstrung by players being injured or cup-tied but it will be intersting to see which side he sends out against Pompey this weekend. Might be time to restrict the loanees to those who really want to do a job for their temporary club.
