Only one surprise in the released list.  Darren Holden was full of promise at the beginning of the season - committed, fast, willing to get forward and a decent tackler. However, he hasn't played underRonnie Moore and one suspects he could make a good go of it elsewhere.

It isn't a surprise that he has let big earners Marlon Harewood, Tommy Miller, Jack Compton and Stuart Parnaby go along with goalie  Jonny Maxted.

That shoud free up a few bob, and there could well be one or two more joining them with Bates and Franks, among others, all due to discuss their existing contracts.

Ronnie says he needs nine new ones in and that a typically honest assessment. He also keep saying its hard to bring players to the area.

How does he think the other North East teams do it, and it wasn''t so lonm  ago that the stability that IOR broought attraced decent players such as Sir Ritchie.

So come on Ronnie stop talking the place down.
