Thank You IOR

Moore Appointed

During their 17 years as owners of Hartlepool United we have seen the highs and lows, but you have to say that IOR has delivered much more success and stability than any other regime. It also now emerges that they have done a deal with new owners TMH 2014 which means there is no debt for the incoming owners.

Peter Harris, the new chairman, says IOR have swallowed £14m of debt in walking away. That figure is purely a matter for IOR and the way they manage  the affairs of their group of companies.

What it does mean is that the new owners say incoming manager Ronnie Moore will have funds to bring in his own players. That alone is very encouraging after we clearly demonstrated that the way to climb up the league is not too rely too heavily on other clubs' loan players.

In the meantime most of us would like to know a bit more about a newly formed company whose initials stand for The Monkey Hangers 2014. That might go down well with a few Poolies but it's hardly a very professional moniker.

However, once again thank you Ken and IOR for some tremendous memories and achievements.
