Hartlepool United emailed their loyal followers this week urging them to "get the perfect gift for any Pools fan!" Not the best time to send out something so ripe for mickey taking as there is only one present we all want -  and it isn't the £21.49 "Pools Player" they were trying to sell. Although a wag would suggest that is a bit expensive for any of the present players .....

Ken Hodcroft has, however, given us a bit of an early present with some honest answers to questions posed by the Mail.

Won't spoil their thunder so you can read it here . Basically, he is saying that he wasn't convinced that Paul Murray and Willie Donachie were heading the right way to stave off relegation, and he had to do something before it was too late. His call and a brave one to be honest.

So we're back to Big Sam being in charge and having to get a result at Burton who are doing quite nicely in the league.

He has the benefit of being able to call on a number of players who weren't available to Murray last week.  Matty Dolan, Scott Fenwick and Joe Ironside are all likely to return.
 
Even better news  is that Michael Duckworth may be fit after missing last two games with a groin injury.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is the new boss at Burton Albion  and he will be without skipper Ian Sharps and  Robbie Weir.
 
We need at least a draw.
