Sunderland brought on their youth team in the second half who promptly gave Pools'more senior squad the run around. Mighht be a lesson there ...
Our own youngsters, in the shape of Brad Walker and Luke James, did well, and both could have scored in a first half where the visitors had more possession - no surprise considering they had the likes of Cattermole on the pitch.
But Poyet changed his whole team witrh half an hour to go and the youngsters who came on must certainly have impressed the boss.
