Four In A Row

Rafferty

Stand in goalie Andy Rafferty did himself a power of good with an excellent fifth minute penalty save - apart from that it was another poor display as Pompey won 1-0 ..

Portsmouth were already 1-0 up when Christian Burgess brought down Wes Fogden. Rafferty, in for a migraine suffering Scott Flinders,  diving to his right to keep out Ryan Taylor's effort.

He'd almost kept out the 90 second  goal making a superb save from Taylor's header from a free kick  - unfortunately Adam Webster followed up to score.

The home side should have had more in the first half, and when we did get our act together in the second we hardly created a chance.

Cooper said too many players were not putting the effort in against a side desperate for points and in front of a vociferous 15,000 home crowd.

Sounds about right.
