Happy New Year - A Win At Last

Two late goals from Luke James and debutant Jack Barmby finally got us up and running in 2014 after York had scared us a couple of times ...

A lively Luke James got the first with ten  minutes to go with a well placed shot from the edge of the area, which was well placed rather than hit with any venom.

A couple of minutes later Barmby popped up at the same spot jinking inside the defence to hit a delightful left footer into the top corner.

He'd come on as sub as both sides slugged it out and accepted his opportunity courtesy of fellow debutant Luke Williams.

Some of us would rather see the up and coming youth players given a chance rather than  allowing other club's players get some competitive game time but, it has to be said, we needed a boost and a win.
