Cooper Conquers Kilimanjaro

Many congratulations to Colin Cooper and his fellow climbers who today conquered Africa's highest mountain to raise funds in memory of Colin's son Finlay.

Every single member of the party managed to summit including Craig Hignett and former Hartlepool Sunday League right back Jeff Stelling.

Speaking to BBC Tees from the  top of the 5895 ft volcano Cooper said: "It is fantastic, we have got everybody up. The lads have put the work in and everybody has helped everybody, it has been a marvellous team effort.

“I am feeling very emotional and very proud. We have been fantastically well supported by everybody.

“Anybody who chooses to put any money into our pot, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. "
