Is there anybody out there who really believes that Oldham won't get at least five from five games and that Pools can win all three remaining games. No, I thought not.
John Hughes, of course, has to maintain the faith but he can't really believe it either.
Even getting a single goal at Tranmere would be a joy after recent games and there'sno doubt that Luke James will continue to give it his best shot.
He's likely to be partnrered by Andy Monkhouse ip front and, to be honest, of all the pairings we've had this season it's as good as any. We've had our fill of lugubrious centre forwwards who blame everyone but themnslves, so let's have a bit of arrogance and a lot of effort -the former from Monky and the latter from James.
Tony Sweeney is likely to be back from injury and he will give it a go as well.
Frankly that's all we can do - finish with a floruish and start over in the autumn.
