Keigan Parker

Hartlepool United caretaker boss Chris Turner has signed his fifth new forward since the turn of the year by snapping up Keigan Parker on loan from Huddersfield. And both of them will be hoping nthey have better luck than a couple of Turner's previous signings, wiuth Daniel Nardiello and Rune Lange both looking as if they are long-term injury casualties.

Parker had a top record at Blackpool, including a goal in their play-off success at Wembley in May 2007, but he decided to turn down the chance of staying there last summer and decided instead to sign for Huddersfield.
But the switch has not been a succcessful one and so far he has only scored two goals in 20 games. However, he is a good player and many people will remember his star performance when Blackpool won 3-0 at the Vic in January, 2006.
It was the game after which it was alleged there was an incident involving manager Martin Scott and a player's fist. Scott is no longer with the club, the player is.

However, as one of the articles clearly shows, the lad likes his chips, so that's all right then.
With Nardiello and Lange out long-term and Joel Porter struggling with injury, Parker is in the squad for Tuesday night's home game with Tranmere as Pools try to build on two good away results last week.
