Pools sign Moore

Danny Wilson has snapped up his sixth signing of the summer. Ian Moore has joined the club on a bosman after being released by Leeds. .

Pools have signed Ian Moore after he was released by Leeds United at the end of last season.

Moore started his career with Tramere Rovers were he scored 12 goals in 47 appearances. Whilst at Tranmere he was sent out on loan to Bradford where he failed to score in 6 appearances. He performances with Tranmere led Nottingham Forest to pay £1 million for him.

At Forest he made 15 appearances but only managed one goal. Stockport County was his next port of call after they paid £800 000 for his services. At Stockport he made 93 appearances and scored 20 goals.

His form at Stockport led to Burnley paying £1 million for him. During his time with Burnley he managed 37 goals in 192 appearances before Leeds signed him for £50 000.

After relegation last season he was released by Dennis Wise and he has now made it to Pools.

His goal return as a professional is only 0.16 per game but it his hunger and desire that caught the eye of Wilson
