The worst kept secret in football has been confirmed and former Pools keeper Dimi Konstantopolous has signed for Coventry City after spending 4 years with Pools .

Dimi has today been confirmed as a Coventry City player. After spending 4 years with Pools he decided it was time to move on and he felt Coventry was his best option.  Dimi decided to not to renew his contract as several championship sides were after his services.

Dimi signed for Pools in 2003 to replace Tony Williams but spent all season on the bench as Jim Provett made a name for himself with some exceptional performances that led to him being named player of the year.

The 2004-2005 season was closely fought between Dimi and Provett and Cooper changed the keeper on several occasions. It was this season that Dimi burst onto the scenes and became a Pools legend.

Dimi confirmed his place as one of the lower leagues top keepers in one evening when Pools travelled to Tranmere in the second leg of the League 1 playoff semi final. Pools went into the game 2-0 up and despite losing 2-0 on the evening Dimi made several world class saves in probably the best goalkeeping performance ever!

The game went to penalties and Dimi saved 2 penalties to help send Pools to Cardiff.

 This season Dimi played all 46 league games and kept 25 clean sheets breaking the club record for the number of clean sheets.
