Hignett to Pools

Hartlepool are supposedly about to former Boro and Darlo player Craig Hignett. Hignett is currently a free agent and is thought to have trained with Pools for a few months

Hartlepool are supposed to be on the verge of signing former Middlesbrough and Darlington player Craig Hignett.

Overall Hignett has played for 11 clubs in his career which started at Crewe back in 1988.

The 37 year old attacker is currently a free agent and is thought to have been training with the club for some time and it looks like Danny Wilson could be about to sign him.

Hignett made a name for himself with Middlesbrough were he played from 1992-1998 playing 154 games and scoring 48 goals. For Darlington he scored 9 goals in 17 appearances.
