Pools will be looking to put Saturdays cup defeat and Sundays cup draw behind them as they go into what will be a difficult game against Notts County who are currently in 7th place
Pools travel to Nottingham tonight to face Notts County with the hope of putting Saturdays FA Cup dissapointment behind them. Hartepools league form recently has been impressive with 2 wins against Accrington and Wycombe.
Notts County are currently in 7th and most importantly that means a playoff place but a win for Pools could see Hartlepool climb to within 2 points of the Magpies. The last time the two clubs played Hartlepool were on there to the playoffs in Division 2 and Notts County were on there way to relegation. Hartlepool won the game 4-0. However the games at Meadow lane havent been so good with Pools losing their last 4 games there without even scoring a goal.
Pools will definately be without Sweeney after the FA decided the red card would stand so he will face a 3 match ban starting tonight, however Duffy, Monkhouse, Liddle and D Williams will still be up for selection after all missing Saturdays game
Jon Daly and Ben Clarke both picked up knocks on Saturday and may miss tonights game. Joel Porter, Micky Proctor and James Brown are still out with knee injuries
County could be without Junior Mendes who has come down with a stomach bug whilst midfielder Tom Curtis could make his return from a broken foot
