Team of the round

It is not the best cup to win, it is hardly glorious and not all clubs will take it seriously but Hartlepool United have won the Johnstons Paint Trophy Team of the round

Hartlepool United were only 1 of 2 teams to beat higher league oppostion in the Johnstons Paint Trophy (the other was Accrington Stanley). Pools made an easy job of Rotherham to progress to the second round and in the process won the Team of the Round award.

Hartlepool made 6 changes from the side that played Stockport on saturday and the changes didnt dissapoint. Bullock and Foley (two of the changes) both scores, Provett and Turnbull had excellent games and Strachan played a vital roll in midfield.

I dont know if this will be classed as a big award for the club but so far Hartlepool have won the manager of the month, the team of the week and the Johnstons Paint Trophy team of the round
