Danny Wilson has called on his team to show more desire a poor start to the season. After 2 games Pools are yet to win, yet to score, have conceded 3 goals and missed 3 penalties. Wilson has asked the players to show more desire as ability on its own isn't enough to win games

Danny Wilson has called on his players to show more desire after a poor performance against Walsall, who have now made it 3 wins out of 3.

"It is about what is under the shirt and between the ears" Wilson said. He will be looking for his side to be more ruthless especially in attack as we have now failed to score in our opening 3 games.

Walsall won the game after two fine strikes brought about by sloppy defending and it aint good enough when you're aiming at a top 3 finish. Even though only 3 games have been played their is now a 8 point difference between top place Walsall and Pools who are now 19th.

Many Pools fans will find it a relief to at last have a straight talking manager after the nonsense that Martin Scott used last season in his press conferences. Wilson has told it how it is. We are playing well but it is just not good enough. We need to be more ruthless and show less respect to the opposition
