Game 2 of the League 2 campaigne sees Pools travel to Macclesfield in search of the first victory. Both sides lost at the weekend so they will both be fighting for their first points of the season
Just 3 days since our defeat to Swindon and we now face Macclesfield Town. Pools havent enjoyed the best of luck against Macclesfield in history but we have won our last two game against them.
The last time we played them in the league we were beaten 2-0 at home after a late burst saw Macclesfield score twice in the last 10 minutes and then we did manage to beat them away from home with a 1-0 win thanks to Eifion Williams. The last time we played Macclesfield was in the first round of the league cup and we came from behind to win 2-1. Pools have not lost away at Macclesfield since 1993 when we lost 2-0 in an FA Cup tie
On Saturday both teams got off to losing starts but Macclesfield will really have to pick themselves up after a 4-0 defeat to Darlington. There are no new injury worries for either side and both managers are expectig to be able to field full strength squads.
