Meanwhile the Sky Men Licked Chelsea backsides shamelessly in public, going on and on how the billionaires would score any minute from a deadball. Well Arsenal held out for 15 minutes before making a pigs ear of it, Campbell gave Terry all the room he needed for a free header. Cue orgasmic gloating from the Sky Men, it all showed how wonderful Chelsea were, Champions in waiting, they would be heading in the winner any moment. Except Henry spoilt their fun by scoring from a quickly taken free kick, almost identical to the one at Villa last season. Cue Sky Men, moan, groan, its not fair, groan moan. Replay, replay, and a replay of the replay was replayed. Surely it couldn’t be right? Don’t they watch any televised games the Sky Men? Leeds did it to Arsenal, Arsenal complained but the goal stood. Arsenal did it to Villa, ol pig face complained, the goal stood. Arsenal do it to Chelsea, the goal stands. Where’s the controversy, it’s a common occurrence. Sky Men begin to advise Chelsea how to equalise (do they have a live link to Mangers playing against Arsenal, or is it purely a masturbatory exercise?). Never mind according to Sky Men Chelsea look like Champs, they would overcome the great injustice. But Sky Men had to wait for immediately after the second half started, when Arsenal were again caught napping at a deadball situation. Gudjohnsen hit lucky with a ball that had looped in to the six yard area, two – two. However Arsenal decided to stop being generous and now began to defend more effectively, if not rather belatedly. Now the Arsenal midfield began to grip and get the upper hand, boys became men as Flamini and Fabregasc began to dominate. Now more of the chances were going Arsenal’s way. Henry shot wide from six yards out; a penalty appeal by Arsenal was also ignored. Moanrhino showed the white flag first by putting on Scott Parker for Gudjohnsen, Arsenal finished the stronger. Of course the Butt Lickers saw it as proof that Chelsea would win the league. Wenger saw it differently the youth had done well, a midfield with an average age below 20, if you don’t count Pires, had come through a baptism of fire. If they can play like this against Chelsea what chance will lesser teams have? Meanwhile Chelsea had had the best chance ever to defeat an Arsenal without Freddy, Paddy, Gilberto, Edu and allegedly a Goalkeeper crisis. Moanrhino was contemptuous of Almunia at a press conference. Almunia was blameless for the goals and made some extremely good saves. His distribution was excellent, so now we know why Wenger bought him. We should have won the game, but once again the defence failed to prevent free headers, but nonetheless this was a good performance and shows much promise for the near future.
