What should’ve been a comfortable win had a nervy finish due to some poor defending late on. We were perhaps taken aback a bit by Cucho’s worldie equaliser, and Watford’s late goal made it look a tighter game than it actually was, but it felt pretty routine overall. Odegaard, Saka and Martinelli all on the scoresheet. Like Fabregas tweeted during the game – the present and the future of Arsenal Football Club. You can see how this side will improve with age and experience, and the right additions. We’re up to fourth with games in hand on United and West Ham.

Ramsdale – 6. Kicking was a concern in the second half.

Cedric – 6. The right hand side continues to be our strongest of late. He nearly gave one away at the end but thought he was okay again.
White – 7. Pick of our defenders again today, though he should have done better on Sissoko’s late goal.
Gabriel – 6. Not filling us with confidence in possession at the moment.
Tierney – 5. Looked better in the second half but thought he had a really poor first half.

Partey – 8. I haven’t always been his biggest fan since he signed for us but he was very good again today and is putting together a good run of form of late. Love the way he turns away from opposition players… just please stop shooting from distance!
Xhaka – 6. Okay overall, but poor on Watford’s late goal.

Saka – 9. Sublime with a goal and an assist. Nightmare for Watford all game. He can go either side, he works hard, he can score and he can create. Unbelievable talent.
Odegaard – 8. Keeps up his good form with a goal and tireless running. What a bargain signing.
Martinelli – 6. Don’t think he’s been so good as of late, and wasn’t having his best game today, till that superbly taken goal. Very happy he scored as I think he needed it.

Lacazette – 6. Just as I was thinking he was having a quiet game, he played a part in Saka’s goal. His lack of goals are still an issue but he plays his part.
