Thoughts and Player Ratings v City Trossard MotM

This game will have no bearing on the title which is very important. If we got hammered that could have been damaging but to go there and make 6 changes and run them close is encouraging. Tomi and Trossard were excellent. Trossard is a good option as an interior. Lokonga really annoyed Odegaard for a lack of effort. Don't be surprised if this is Lokonga last game for the club. Time to focus on Everton. Gunnersingh  

RATINGS FOLLOW

Turner 7 - thought he played very well and made some important saves
Tomiyasu 7 - all round very competent
Holding 6 - not easy keeping Haaland quiet - inevitably booked and hooked - but job done
Gabriel 6 - competent, kept his head
Tierney 5 - still not at his best
Partey - 6 - missed him when he went off
Xhaka 6 - competed well
Vieira 5 - inconsistent - good flashes but then out of the game for ages - still think he will make it here eventually
Saka 5 - quietest I have seen him for a long time but they did double up on him every time he got the ball
Nketiah 7 - inches away from scoring, worked his socks off
Trossard 8 - brightest spark for us - most likely to score/create

Subs
Saliba 7 - very cool - handled Haaland well
Lokonga 4 - poor - I worry about his future at the club - his ego is bigger than his talent
Zinchenko 6 - dynamic presence as usual
Martinelli 7 - changed the tempo of our game dramatically
Odegaard 6 - too short a time to really change things
