Player Ratings v Dortmund

A good result for Arsenal, but it may be that Dortmund considered they have won the group already, they and Arsenal are level on head to head 2-0 victories, so its goal difference that will count and its unlikely that Arsenal will be able to out do Dortmund. In his post match interview Wenger gave the possible impression that he was happy with second place. It's also possible that Dortmund were happy only losing 2-0. But you can only beat what is in front of you and it was a great goal by Sanchez. I doubt if many will quibble at him being MotM. Great skill with great workrate, the perfect player. Anyway here is Boston Gooners view of what the ratings should be:

 

Martinez 7/10 | Not a lot to do but did it well.

Chambers 7/10 | Solid at the back throughout.
Mertesacker 5/10 | Slow and some sloppy passes. Worst defender tonight.

Monreal 7.5/10 | Solid game. Did well.

Gibbs 8/10 | One of his better performances tonight. man of the match.

Arteta 6.5/10 | Did his job. But another injury.

Ramsey 5/10 | Still pretty poor.

Oxlade-Chamberlain 7.5/10 | Good game tonight. Unlucky when he hit the bar.

Cazorla 7.5/10 | His best performance for a while.

Alexis 8/10 | Quite in the 1st half. Better 2nd half and scored a belter.

Sanogo 5/10 | Extra point for his goal. Otherwise he is a poor player. Injured yet again.

Subs:

Flamini 6/10 | OK. and didn't get booked!

Podolski N/A | Was he on ?

Campbell N/A | On for 1 minute.
