Its almost as if they confirmed that the rumour must have come from someone close to the club.

Personally didn't think it was true but at least we have some sort of voice. If we could all air all concerns like the end of season survey put it in a piece and let them go through what is true and false would be be great move.

The fact they say someone at the club gave you this means they know someone has said something and why would that person lie and the futile attempt to get you to report to them first says it all.

Moderate response from the Club, which denies any truth in the story. Personally if I was in the Media Group, and you'd fabricated a story, I'd be after your cojones. With so much ridding on reputation you need to guard it with your life.

p.s. Responding in 14 days seems a bit odd, but maybe it's just the time needed to reply to all the mail.

Pretty decent of her to respond regardless if the denial is varly weak.
Its been quite a monumental few days around here, the swiftness of the reply demonstrates that the club is beginning to realise that the supporter discontent is not confined soley to a chorus of boos and the end of a game.

Whether Eduardo's article is factual or not is irrelevant as far as Iam concerned, the simple fact there has been over 100k views further reinforces that the support want the truth in relation to the direction this club is going.

Ive seen quite a number of AFC bloggers and people who are supposed to be in the know also dismiss the article today, thats their pregrogative but they didnt offer an alternative arguemnt either (neither did the club spokesperson).

Momentum has built up on this issue over the last couple of days, the onus on those of us who advocate transparency at AFC is to keep up the pressure on the club and more specificaly the owner for answers as to what exactly this clubs ambitions are and how they plan to achieve it.

Thats actually true, theres an argument then that maybe they may have been better off ignoring it for a few days to kind of belittle the issue if you like. The quick response received does suggest that we've roughled a few feathers .

I have serious reservations about the quality of non-playing staff the club employ. Media officers who can't write, commercial staff who produce nothing thus leaving us ever further behind our competitors and a CEO who is seriously out of his depth.

This club used to be a byword for ''well-run''. It appears to be a shambles at all levels. I'm not convinced that Wenger still is the man for the job, but nobody could blame him for being frustrated with a board that that bears ultimate responsibility for incompetence at non-playing level.

Whatever your feelings on Wenger, he isn't the big problem at the club. I never had high hopes for the team under Kroenke (look what a pile of @#$%& his American teams are)as its evident to me he is here to squeeze cash out of us, but at least I thought commercial and media performance would improve under American stewardship.

As much as it hurts, Arsenal FC need a complete overhaul from top to bottom. Usmanov is the only realistic hope I can see.

It was poorly written - like somebody new as an apprentice getting their first run out to phrase something to a very unimportant client. Frightnigly that's coming from the top of the foodchain in there.

Lets be honest, if the response was brilliantly written and if it emphatically denied the claims, then I think most of you would still be skeptical.

"Hmm that seems too well written, something is definitely going on, where's my tin-foil hat?".

I'm not having a go because I'm new on this website and don't have the right to poke fun at any of you but is there any evidence to suggest this response isn't absolutely true and there is no division within the club? Is there any evidence to suggest the article was spot on and the club are definitely hiding something? The answer to both questions is no, it seems there's plenty of theory involved without actual fact.

Shane...I work in media and marketing and have done so for the better part of my life

I've seen absolute true stories about celebrities held under control and kept quiet with good PR and getting in front of a situation and the general public believes its a lie when in fact its true

That response by Arsenal is just Damage Control...its something thats a little too close to home so they know that they have to respond immediately before it turns into a fire that cannot be controlled and engulfs the club

especially in today's viral era, it doesn't take long for such things to happen

I agree that we don't know whats true and what's not...but we have to agree that Wenger isn't crazy and if you look at his statements and certain happenings around the club...its not hard to put 2 and 2 together

believe me if it was absolutely false..the email would ave had a different tone to it...if you even got a response in the first place

I was observing that the club are badly run from top to bottom.

Whether its a PR bimbo who can't write, a commercial team who achieve comically poor results in comparison to their counterparts at other clubs, a CEO who is so far out of his depth thats its painful to watch or a parasitic stay away majority shareholder with no idea about football or the club and a track record of mediocrity in American sports. Its not up to scratch.

Seeing Arsenal in crisis is one thing. I can live with that. Seeing the club raped, exploited and mismanaged in a way that makes the average African dictatorship look like a Swiss clockwrk really hurts though.

Having kept the puppet board of Hill Wood & co in place makes it even harder to stomach. All these symptoms developed under their watch. Why are they still there now they have lined their pockets. Have to add my own 2 bit on this matter. Regardless of the denial of the issue of loggerheads or not, the story does sound very plausible.

Arsene is not stupid, so I do believe in this 4 pronged attack thats been speculated about in this artcle. Inasmuch as we can pride ourselves on our wage structure we do need to make our stars feel valued and appreciated. Not pay over the odds but at least have some semblance of a competitive wage structure.

How do we expect to attract superior talent now that the team is being decimated? Not many highly sought after players would want to come to a team thats looking like its in decline. I read the article and was close to tears when the reality hit me. It was like how i felt losing to spurs at the emirates last season, it was emotionally crushing. What the hell is happening to our beloved team.

Its hard to be optimistic when the reality staring you in the face is so obvious. Would i be seen as being cowardly if i say this season which is only 2 games in is a write off? And possibly the next season or 2?

I think the article was well written and quite compelling, but for such a quick responce, some one at our club is keen to stamp on it.
2 points. Eds story makes a whole lot of sense and answers a number of whys and what-fors.
If indeed the story has foundation, it`s not good thing for us fans. It means our club IS in crisis and we could be in for a depressing season.
