Sam Allardyce Sends Wenger his Respects on 13 Years

Arsene!!! No!!

By Boris Mellor
October 2 2009

Sam Allardyce says that he would hope that at the least Wenger and he can respect each other. Well you can hope Sam, but Wenger believes Sam is building Bolton Mark 2 at Blackburn Rovers, so not a lot of respect there.

Sam likes to put it around that Wenger suffers sour grapes when it come to his teams, because Sam has found a method to beat the Gunners, and that method is physical; however Sam claims it's all within the  laws of the game.

I can't be bothered to respond to this nonsense because in fact the days of Sam's teams beating Arsenal are in the past, and then only very rarely away. Last season Arsenal beat Sam 4-0 not once, but twice, home and away. Perhaps Sam was obeying the law. Then he had a spell at Newcastle, and I don't remember him beating the Gunners. I do remember he got the sack. So it's hardly likely that Wenger is jealous of Big Sam's super method.

Of course Sam, Pedersen and the rest of the motley crew will be hoping to rain on Arsene's 13 year parade, but they are in the middle of a drought. They have played two games away, lost both, scoring one and conceding five. No doubt they will be extra dirty for our benefit, and subject the Gunners to an aerial bombardment, but Wenger believes his team is better equipped for such tactics this season.

Eduardo will be out for this game, but Walcott returns in time to be able to get injured playing for England. Hopefully Capello won't pick him so that he can continue to recover from overexerting himself for the England cause.

Almunia has now entered the Guinness Book of Records for a chest infection, but no one cares because Mannone now has three clean sheets in a row. Can he make it four? Whatever I am expecting a decent Arsenal win.

Nintendo Bendtner Stunt Game

Bendtner returns after his failed Evil Knievel stunt, and the good news is he will be able to afford to replace his Aston Martin DBS, as Nintendo are putting out a gameboy version of his exploits. I have had a sneak preview of it and it's brilliant. It not only has the usual car chase stunts, but when you get to level seven you get a chance to head butt Adebayor at White Hart Lane.

Oh goody. Another extended whine from a goon. Getting your facts right would help. Paul Ince was manager when Arsenal won 4-0 at Ewood Park.

Ha Ha Folkie. Who cares who your manager is/was. Are you going to be there on Sunday? As I recall from last year, practically your whole end was thrown out by 70 mins, for being completely mad. Same again this time?

Doesnt change his $hyte record - he got lucky once or twice, most of the time we have thrashed him. He is deluded.

The number of Blackburn fans who come down wouldnt fill a mini bus most times

One of my mates always goes in the Blackburn away end. Last year I had a nice chat with him over the fence at half time.

He admitted, at the time, that some of their away fans are raving lunatics, they turn up drunk out of their brains, and get thrown out for being angry and mad, spending the entire game leaping about, hurling crazy irrelevant abuse at our fine upstanding fans.

Looking forward to the same on Sunday.

Their turnout is reasonable, for a small northern club. Not like Wigan, who genuinely could have turned up in a minibus, and probably did.

I swear I will stop posting on here if we don't beat Blackburn by two clear goals!

I have no idea who is on their squad, only that if the likes of gallas, vermaelen, eboue (yes eboue) song, cesc, arshavin, rvp, bendtner and walcott can't absolutely de-moralise Blackburn by comprehensively smashin dem...

Then who am I supporting?

rockstaar they just came from behind with 10 men to beat aston villa, and if we were playing villa you would not be underestimating them now would you

I know but a win with 10 men coming from behind can give any team a boost. For me once again first goal is vital, and its also vital we get it early

I hope we get it early - but no doubt they will be dogged

Couple things eddy

1. I'm not underestimating them, but if one of the other big four were playing them..would you be talking about them beating villa with ten men?

2. With our squad..why on earth would I not be confident that we should be able to beat them convincly..that's the thing..I support the almighty arsenal..not aston villa

Even I, the harbinger of doom, am not expecting anything other than a comfortable win tomorrow.
