England Red Roses WIN the Rugby World Cup 2025

The Red Roses overcame Canada 33-13 at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, to claim the Women's Rugby World Cup for the first time since 2014.

Canada made a positive start, moving the ball across the field and attacking England’s wide channels with intent - and the pressure led to points after just five minutes - as they jumped on a missed line out which led to a mismatch on the blindside, where wing Asia Hogan-Rochester was found in space and went over for the opening try.

Unfazed, England struck back moments later through Kildunne. From 40-metres out the full back stepped Sophie de Goede, before weaving around another four defenders and dotting down under the posts - claiming her fifth try of the tournament. Harrison’s extras gave England a two-point lead.
