Ella Eyre to release Swing Low, Sweet Chariot single

Brit Award winner Ella Eyre will lead the nation’s support of England Rugby in 2015 on a new recording of Swing Low, Sweet Chariot accompanied by fans.

 

 

 

 

 

 

England Rugby’s official single will be released on 7 September by Virgin EMI and is being produced by Glyn Aikins and Mojam, who have previously worked with Emeli Sande and Sam Smith.

 

Ella, whose debut album Feline will be released on 14 August, will appear alongside England fans as well as past and present players in the music video.

There is still times for fans to win a place next to Ella on the single by uploading their rendition of Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, through the Every Voice Counts page on Facebook or by using the hashtag #carrythemhome on Instagram. The deadline for entries is 3 August.

All proceeds from the single will go towards supporting England Rugby’s All Schools programme, supported by principle partner CBRE, which seeks to introduce rugby to state secondary schools.
