England take on the 'Auld Enemy' this time many miles from home and a win for both teams is needed.

IRB Rugby World Cup 2011
Pool Stages
1st October 08:30 -  Eden Park, Auckland
England v Scotland

Well this is how it all stands at the moment in Pool B,  England at the top with 14 points and a win against Scotland should secure a quarter final place against those indifferent French on the 8th October.

No doubt we will have England starting off all jittery again, oh yes they 'Talk the Talk'  but when they walk the walk onto the pitch........ I don't know, they just don't seem to inspire confidence especially for a fan watching.

Some stats., for those who like this sort of thing England and Scotland have met 128 times.  England have won 68, Scotland 42 and they have drawn 18.

Scotland are ranked 9th in the world and England 4th, does the ranking stand for much perhaps not but really on paper England should secure this match as a win.   However, as we have seen in the past few weeks they can be wobbly and we just need to think back to the Argentina game to give us a few nightmares.

Armitage starts on wing replacing Cueto, Courtney Lawes is back after a two-game ban and  prop Matt Stevens return at loosehead.  They replace lock Tom Palmer and  prop Alex Corbisiero respectively.

Lewis Moody again captains the side attaining his 70th cap and Jonny Wilkinson will make his 90th Test appearance.....   Who would have thought eh?

Anyway we should win and as the nation will be rising early again, so we better had win and it better be good.

And now the fun bits, whilst England have been fending off the press again due to 'odd shaped balls' and coaches being suspended.   Scotland have been enjoying themselves, it was their turn for the high seas.
