Pool Stages

England v Argentina

Otago Stadium in Dunedin on Saturday (2030 NZ, 0930 BST)

Well here we go another Rugby World Cup and all of England expects!  Or do we?  This England team/squad are not nearly as near to the dizzy heights of the 2003 RWC squad, no where near in fact.  However, we have to hope and they did pull out a surprise in the 2007 RWC, so you never know.  As with all sports you need lady luck to smile upon you as well especially in those key moments.

So we look forward to hopefully a good showing by England at these games and we wish them all the very best of luck in the process.  I for one would love to see them get to the final but if not.........  well let the games begin.

Mike Tindall will lead the team out against Argentina and I am sure this will be a proud moment for him.   Lewis Moody has still not recovered from injury, some say he should never have been picked to go but I don't know I think it is important to have experience around even if they don't play.   Cueto (out due to back injury) sees Delon Armitage take his place.   A surprise perhaps at scrum half no Simpson instead we have Richard Wigglesworth and no surprise at fly half we Jonny back in the fold.

I am looking forward hopefully to a good showing by England against the Pumas as this should set the tone of what has to follow.

And so.....  Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more etc., etc.,

Good Luck England - Go get em!

Don't get why Deacon would start ahead of Palmer? Feel sorry for Wood, who played well in the 6 nations. Going to be a fairly horrid match, with very little flair at 9, 10 and 12. Still, looking forward to it.

Baffled by the selection of Wigglesworth, he is a good club player but IMO not an international
