England Saxons captain Phil Dowson (Northampton Saints) has been called-up to the Senior England EPS tour as cover for Hendre Fourie (Leeds Carnegie) who has a right calf injury.

Dowson, who was due to captain the Saxons against Russia today (Wednesday), will instead fly to Australia to meet with Martin Johnson's squad.

George Skivington (London Wasps) will now captain the Saxons with Andy Saull (Saracens) starting at seven, Brad Barritt (Saracens) will take his place on the bench.

So instead of playing any rugby over the summer and captaining the Saxons, he's getting a holiday in the sun and will make up the numbers.

That's the way to earn a break!
