Fisi: Alonso Move could be good for me

Renault F1's Italian driver Giancarlo Fisichella claims that the change in team of Fernando Alonso could benefit him within the Renault team for the coming 2006 season and his fight to be world champion Fisichella struggled last season with the set up of the R25 as the car was more suited to team mates Fernando Alonso's aggressive driving style. Now that Alonso is on his way to Mclaren Mercedes in 2007 Fisi believes that the attitude and mentality of the renault team may change to favour the smooth driving style of the speedy Italian who might well still be with the team in 2007.


“It could be good for me,” he told Autosport.

“Maybe the team will change the way they act towards Fernando.”

Fisichella also claimed he had detected a change in Alonso’s character in recent times: “He’s always been a good guy, but he is changing.”
