Pools hadn't won away since October which is why they are the languishing towards the bottom of the league. But all bad things come to an end, and our surivavl hopes were given a massive boost by the Michael Woods goal which defeated Cambridge ..

As a result we are now nine points clear of the relegation zone and up to 20th place with Orient going bottom after a 5-0 hammering.

Cambridge rarely had a shot all night and had Clark sent off after Woods had put Pools ahead slotting home from ten yards.
