On A Roll

Two back to wins at home - who would have thought. Forget the cup win over Stamfrord the three points we earned in the 2-0 win over Cheltenham are much more important ...

If we'd lost we would have been in the bottom three with all the panic that brings.

Instead we are in 15th which makes the trip to third placee Doncaster this week a little  less frightening. That is followed by Accrington Stanley on the Tuesday so a four point haul  would do us a power of ghood.

The win over Cheltenham was the first in 8 home league games and came courtesy of some lovely skill from Lewis Allessandra on the left whose curling effort deserved the luck it got from  a deflection.

That was right on the break and we had to wait until  near the end for Bares to pop up with a header which he planted into the back of the net. Onceupon a time he looked like he wasn't too interested but he has become a key figure for Pools.

Hope he stays fit.
