Craig Hignett has had a chance to have a look at a lot of his squad - now that safety has been assured - and it still looks like he needs Billy Paynter back in the team.
The striker is fit again and is likely to start against Pompey this week after a shot shy Pools gifted the game to Oxford at the weekend.
Plenty of possesion and neat approach player counted for nothing in terms of attempts on goal, whereas the home side took their first half chance from a rebound, and then finished the game off in injury time.
Pools had some opportunities from free kicks but missed the likes of Billy to get on the end of them.
Let's have him back and let's finish the seasonf with a flourish.
