Craig Hignett now has three unbeaten games under his belt as Pools ease themselves away from the relegation mire ...

No doubt he would have settled for a draw before his side took to the sandy beach known as Rodney Parade - specially as Newport won 3-0 at Pompey at the weekend.

He got a scoreless draw and it could have bene three points as we did enough to have got the win even if a draw was probably the fairst outcome.

Carson made three fine saves as did their stopper. Chances were created but the most pleasing outcome must be the clean sheet, which has been elusive for most of this season.

It's off to Crawley this weekend. Belief is there. A win would not be unexpected.
