Northampton Town arrived at The Vic on the back of ten successive victories - a draw for Pools would be a major achievement .

Craig Hignett watched them win at York during the week and says their attackers are mobile and elusive, which doesn't bode well for a Pools defence which finds it hard to concentrate for a full 90 minutes.

Hignett has been singing the praise of his side following a decent showing at Luton, and he looks far more willing to buuild a settled side than the previous regime which felt t had to change at least four positions every week - with the exception of left back.

He is getting the likes of Luke James back fit for this week, and if we are to get anything out of the game he will have to make s significant contribution from the bench.

However, this is likely not to be the start of the Hignett revival.
