Skipper Carl Magnay has trained and will lead the side which is on a hiding to nothing at Salford tonight .

Not only will the home side have the might of the BBC and  their Man Utd owners behind them they'll also be more than happy that the weather conditions are predicted to be foul.

So it's time for our lads to roll up their sleeves, and remember what they learned from all the games they played on the playing fields of Britain as they developed their skills and their trade.

Ronnie Moore might have done well to get them  training at Grayfields Enclosure this week.

Michael Woods wil be out with a badly bruised thigh, which is a shame as he is one of those combative midfielders you need in conditions like this.
