Ryan Bird has scored at Wembley in a cup final. If he scored for Pools against Wimbledon it will arguably be a more important goal than the one he scored on the hallowed turf ...
He is the latest loanee to arrive at the Vic as desperation sets in.
We are eight points adrift with games running out. Home form has picked up with little luck away, so lets hope for a change of fortune against a Wimbledon side who are going well and have dangerous winger in Alfie Potter and a big target man in Akinfenwa.
With Scott Fenwick out for six weeks a lot is being asked from Bird who comes in as Moore, and everyone else, looses a bit of faith in Harewood and Morgan - although the latter is likely to start as he struggles for match fitness.
Any kind of flukey win would do.
