Back To Square One

A solid first half performance where we should have gone ahead was all spoilt by some slack defending which allowed Shresbury to score three times ... as a result we are once again 9 points behind at the bottom of the league.

To be fair nobody has beaten Shrewsbury on their pitch this season and they demonstrated why.

Pools began very well and both  Jonathan Franks and Michael Duckworth came close to scoring. Ronnie Moore has to take the positives of the first half and rebuild for the crucial encounter at his old club Tranmere - a six pointer if ever there was one.
