Supporting Hartlepool United is never dull. Just when you think all we will be able to do this season is moan about having to rely on loan signings and wondering when the next win will come we have a double whammy.
First Mr Nice Guy - the national Apprentice of the Year - goes AWOL and then we achieve a most unlikely, but deserved, victory at Wimbledon. That would have been a good double to have at the bookies.
Quite often adversity proves the spur which gets things moving, so let's hope we can build on that win and get some confidence in the squad.
Certainly signing Harrison from Sunderland is a major bonus - specially if the loan spell can be extended. He is only 20 but looks and plays like a seasoned pro in his 30's - and that is a compliment.
As for James? He and his advsiors msut know that the reason Hartlepool United is still in existence is that the club is run in a very professional and business like manner. He may be frustrated by the apparent lack of movement in his much mooted move to Peterborough but its not his bat and ball to take home.
Hopefully, the issue will be resolved sooner rather than later and , if he does leave, let's hope some money can be found to provide a permanent signing - or two.
