A point away from home is all well and good but with other sides achieving similar results we are missing golden opportunities to get into the play-offs ...

On the balance of play a 0-0 draw and apoint was a good result for Pools, but that's just one point out of nine in the last three away games and that isn't play off form.

We had our chances but rarely troubled the keeper. Walton had three efforts which failed to jhit the target, while Barmby, James and Franks all had chances to get passed the last defender - but failed to do so.

On the bright side the defence got back to it's frugal ways albeit against a side strugglung to avoid the relegation zone.

Bristol City are up next and we need to find some spark from somewhere if the end of the season doesn't become a damp squib.
