Duckworth

Pools are waiting for news on Michael Duckworth's latest injury while holding an inquest on how we let in two soft identical goals within seconds of each other. The first right on half time and the second at the restart .. second...

As a result bottom placed Northampton won 2-0 with our best chance coming when Simon Walton hit the post. The rest was not exactly memorable but it will go down as the last game for Luke Williams.

Boro haven't scored for ages so his two goals for Pools mean he will probably go straight into the first team at the Riverside.

Meanwhile poor old Duckworth lasted just eleven minutes after his long lay off following a hernia operation. At first it was thought he'd broken his leg but it now looks like quite serious ligament damage.

He's been one of our few shining lights this season so let's hope for a speedy recovery - and a return to clean sheets.
