Colin Cooper is now preparing for a cup run after admitting that a 0-0 was a fair result against that most dangerous of things - a team without a manager.

Pool and Pompey cancelled each other out by virtue of some good goalkeeping and the shackles each put on their respective dangermen.

Pompey had a significant prescence in Ryan Bird, while Luke James and James Poole posed a didferent threat at the other end. Both sides had done their homework to good effect.

Now it's a break with Coventry the attractive opposition at the Vic in the second round of the FA Cup.
