Onward and Upward

A win and two goals. Thanks goodness for the win against fellow strugglers Accrington Stanley so let's hope we can now relax, play some football and start to move up the league ...

A cool finish from Jonathan Franks and a second from  lively Andy Monkhouse put uss two up at the break.

We had enough chances to double that score but Pools being Pools we let them in for a route one goal and then  had the jitters for the last half hour.

There was so much at stake you could hardly blame thye lads. Colin Cooper wisely brought on Sam Collins to steady the ship - moving Baldwin into midfield - and it has to be said that while our backs are to the wall we could do with big Sam's influnce from the start of games.

Having two promising young centre backs is all well and good ... but that's a big repsonsibility when the team is struggling for confidence.
