Hartlepool make the short trip to Darlington tomorow looking to extend the gap at the top of the table and beat the club record for the most games unbeaten. A bumper away crowd of 3750 Poolies is expected so their promises to be a great atmosphere at the Darlington Arena

Hartlepool are looking to repeat history this weekend when they travel to Darlington. Hartlepool look set to break the clubs unbeaten record of 21 games. Last time Hartlepool broke their unbeaten record it was also at Darlington back in 2001.

Both sides go into the game with a great run of form behind them. Hartlepool are unbeaten in 21 and Darlington are unbeaten in 13 games. The last time the two sides played at the Vic the game finished 0-0 and Darlington seemed perfectly happy to put all 11 men behind the ball and play out the draw.

The last time Hartlepool played away to Darlington the game was played at Feethams and the game finished 2-2 with goals from Adam Boyd and Darrell Clarke for Pools.

Hartlepool have been dealt with an injury blow when Willie Boland went over on his ankle in training and he could miss the game but Tony Sweeney is set to be back in the squad as he is overcoming a groin injury.

Joel Porter played 90 minutes for the reserves the other day but is not fully match fit so may still miss the game with Darlington but Craig Hignett could be in the squad after signing a short term contract with Pools.

The game promises to be a cracker with Hartlepool looking to extend the gap at the top and Darlington looking to get into the playoffs. A bumper crowd of 10 000 is expected to be at the game and Pools have sold out their allocation of 3 750.
