The match of the day will not be in the Premiership today but it is in League 2 between Hartlepool and Stockport as the two form sides in the country go head-to-head
Hartlepool travel to Stockport this weekend knowing it will probably be the hardest game this season. Hartlepool and Stockport have both been on spectacular runs lately but Stockports run came to an end during the week when they went down 3-1 Barnet.
The game will be huge today as a win or a draw will see Pools level the club record of 21 games unbeaten, which would see Pools break the record against Darlington next week - just as it was back in 2001.
Stockport manager Jim Gannon has a fuly fit side for the game and he has recalled LeFondre from loan at Rochdale.
Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson is still without Willie Boland and Joel Porter but Porter could be back in the squad by next week when we travel to Darlington. Tony Sweeney ws taken off with injury during the Lincoln game but he is expected to be back in the side today
The bookies are struggling to seperate the two sides and most have got the game down as a draw.
