Hartlepool go into the game against Grimsby Town after there highest scoring game for 2 seasons. A similar team is expected to be named but it seems unlikely that Hartlepool will be able to equal the fantastic 8-1 victory of 3 season ago.
Hartlepool United 8 - 1 Grimsby Town.
Who will ever forget it. However since that great night both teams have been relegate and are both playing in League 2.
Last season Grimsby made it to the playoffs and are hoping for a more successful season this time around. Hartlepools last trip to Grimsby saw Hartlepool win 2-0 after 2 goals from Adam Boyd.
Pools fans can expect to see a very similar side to that which put 5 past Peterborough but Wilson will be hoping for a tighter display in defense.
Grimsby manager Watkiss recognises the threat of Porter, Daly and Liddle but feels his squad has what it takes to beat Pools.
Danny Wilson has credited the Pools fans again in the Hartlepool Mail and will be hoping that Hartlepool take another big following to Grimsby
