Newcastle United go into the half time interval 2-0 down at Goodison Park this afternoon after an abysmal performance in the first half. Goals from Steven Piernaar and Jelavic saw The Toffees go two goals to the good within the first 30minutes of the game.
Newcastle don't look like a team who turned up chasing a Champions League position, they are struggling to keep the ball with certain players struggling to keep their tempers in check.
Yohan Cabaye angered the Everton fans in the 25th minute after pushing the ball boy aside whilst retrieving the ball and has looked edgy on the pitch. He later apologised to the lad before he left to make his way down the tunnel
Cheik Tiote has unsuprisingly already been booked, but nobody could be suprised if Cabaye was the next player to pick up a yellow card for Newcastle.
Both sides need three points from this game, Everton to go ahead of Liverpool and stay there, and Newcastle to potentially grab a top four finish.
Other Results As They Stand
Tottenham Hotspurs go into half time 1-0 up against Fulham with a goal from Adebayor, whilst West Brom have managed to equalise and then go ahead of Arsenal before conceding once again. They go into half time on a 2-2 draw.
For The Title
Both Manchester United and Manchester City go into half time on the back of 1-0 wins. As it stands Manchester City will be lifting the Premier League trophy at the end of the game.
