1. Who are you, what’s your age and how long have you been supporting your Club.

I am Jack Nolan, editor of GFC Online and am a young supporter at sixteen and have been supporting the club for around six to seven years now.

2. What’s your best moment as a football fan of your club?

Promotion at Wembley (original of course) in the 99/00 season

3. And the worst?

Relegation at Nottingham Forest in the 03/04 season

4. Which player has been your all time favourite for your club?

Andy Hessenthaler. He is still going strong at forty-one-I think with Barnet. He has captained us and managed us and kept us in the Championship for a longer time than many would have expected, as we were relegation favourites every season except for the season we were eventually relegated!!

5. And who is your current favourite?

Mickey Flynn. Current captain and has scored some crucial goals and some crucial players. Strangely peaks away from home having scored an impressive nine goals away from Priestfield from midfield.

6. What’s your favourite away ground in League one?

A surprising one in the shape of Millwalls New Den.  Mainly because we always used to beat our rivals there and always a great atmosphere whenever we play Millwall.  Prenton Park however is a very nice stadium…

7. What has your form of late been like?

For to inconsistent, we have won all but three games at Priestfield but have won just one on the road.

8. Who’s the “one to watch”?

You would expect me to say Matty Jarvis but I’m going to go for Mickey Flynn as he seems to be the only Gill who enjoys playing away games. Scored nine goals away this season from midfield and most of them having been stunning long range efforts.

9. Do you have any youngsters to look out for?

Apart from the obvious choice of Matt Jarvis we have several promising youngsters coming through. We have our Welsh international Andrew Crofts who normally starts in midfield, our pacey (and smallest player in the Football League I think) Dean McDonald and when Ronnie gives him a chance Sean Clohessy.

10. What’s your biggest threat, as in corners, set pieces etc.

We are woeful at corners so don’t worry if we got any corners! Free kicks are normally taken be either Clint Easton (who scored a stunning 35 yarder against Millwall earlier this season) or Mike Flynn. They can both hit a ball and are very dangerous with long range efforts. All our penalties are taken by Flynn who most of the time converts them in style smashing them into one of the upper corners.

11. At the start of the season, what was your predicted finish for the season?

Mid-table, and I haven’t changed my mind. That is pretty decent at the moment but some Gills fans are still optimistic of play offs providing we sort the away form out!

12. Where do you see yourselves finishing now?

Mid-table.

13. Do you think either of Tranmere or your team will get relegated or promoted?

I think Tranmere have a very good chance of promotion this year. With Chris Greenacre scoring and Chris Shuker performing pretty well I can see no reason why not. As for Gills we just have to sort out our away form.

14. Are you a little surprised by Tranmere’s performance so far this season?

To be honest, yes. Following last season I had Tranmere down as mid-table contenders but now they have got a very good shout of promotion.
