It will depend on whether we have money to spend and are allowed to spend it.
Regardless of who manages other teams, we still need a few top-class players.
And we have players still who we can't move on plus we aren't going to get big bucks for any that leave. Unless we sell a star player.

But we say the same things as above every season.

And to answer the question, no Arteta won't go to Barca he's done nothing to make them want him.

I don't think Artea is going anywhere, he's done a great job so far and has the full backing of the board to continue. They showed loyalty and belief in him when he initially struggled, so I think he'll honour and return that.

He'd have to be mad to go to Barca as well in my opinion. They are nothing like the force they were and unlike with us, if he struggled for 6 months there he'd be gone.

Arteta is still a journeyman, and need to serve it at Arsenal before he is "Master Class".

He realized that and will bid his time and savvy enough that he needed 3 to 5 more years at Arsenal before he will think to move back to Europe.

Unai Emery is a good example on how difficult it is to leave your comfort zone to manage a marquee team or a top team like Arsenal.

To be honest Barcelona is not what it used to be. El clásico for that matter, is not what it used to be. Spain has many problems. There is nothing attractive about going there.

I wouldn't be worried about Manchester City either to be honest. I think Barcelona is much closer to his heart for a start but still, walking away from Arsenal without winning a Premier League or Champions League title would be hard for him. I think he's all-in at Arsenal and winning here would mean more to him than winning at Barcelona or Manchester City.

Let's see what July entices when Arteta contract renewal came into play.
If contract extension not signed by summer 2024, then it meant Arteta will leave all his options open come summer 2025 on which club he would like to be.

They only way Arteta would leave for Barca is if the fans vehemently turned on him, and if he was able to take Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli and Saliba with him.

Not gonna happen. I've got a question though.

If Arteta did leave, and for whatever reason, Pep replaced him at Arsenal, do you think this current Arsenal squad would do better, or worse, under Pep?
