After all the heroics of the first leg, that was a pathetic performance. We didn't get going. I didn't think Liverpool were much good either to be fair, but they have a super clinical goalscorer, who scored both his shots. Pretty poor game in truth.



We lacked a dominant figure in the midfield of the park, you couldn't see where we were ever going to get a goal from, and you couldn't see how we could change things from the bench either. Unfortunately usually dependable performers Ramsdale, Tomiyasu and Saka weren't up to it today and ESR was so off the pace as well.

Very disappointed to get so close to a cup final, especially after the Forest game. All we have left to play for is a European place, which we'll struggle to get if we don't strengthen our threadbare squad. We're short of midfielders and are so average upfront. We have to pull something out of the bag.
