Player Ratings v Tottenham as Arsenal Disappoint

Arsenal were well beaten at Spurs, yes the ref was rubbish, but so were we. Tottenham deserved their win nothing else to be said apart from work out the ratings.

Ospina - 5. Prior to this game he'd looked very assured and composed, today he was shaky and calamitous. Did make some decent saves though.

Bellerin - 4. Awful in the first half, improved in the second. In his defence, he could've used more support, but that doesn't change the fact he was shocking.
Mertesacker - 5. Didn't look comfortable at all.
Koscielny - 6. Our best defender.
Monreal - 5. Did okay in the first half, better in the second half.

Coquelin - 6. Our best player in the first half, not so good in the second half.
Ramsey - 5. The fact that he is all anyone is talking about just shows how important he is. Cannot fault his work rate and his engine, but he is not on form.

Welbeck - 5. Bonus mark for his excellent play for Ozil's goal. Otherwise, not very good.
Cazorla - 4. Awful. Not at the races at all today.
Ozil - 6. Bonus marks for an excellent finish. Very good when he was involved, but not involved enough.

Giroud - 4. Isolated and not in the game at all, and should've done a lot, lot better with his header in the second half.

Subs:

Rosicky - 5. Immediately better than Cazorla, but probably should've come on earlier.
Walcott - 4. Didn't really get a sniff, but again probably should've come on earlier.
Akpom - N/A. Not on long.

Shocking. We were abysmal from start to finish and Spurs battered us. Team selection and shape just doesn't matter when everyone is so awful. You can't legislate for it.

Sorry Matty, but can't agree that Kos was our best defender, in fact I reckon he was easily our worst, mate.

Per and Nocho were alright part from Per chesting the ball to all in sundry. And I agree that Bellerin was hungout at times, but he was in front of where the ball was being played too offen, as well. I thought Kos was terrible.

Welbz was just as poor as Kos and you're right, Santi went AWOL

Rambo is quite out of form atm. He may need a break.

Since the end of WW1, 1919, when the FA restarted its 4 tier football league, with Arsenal fc in the 1st div, there’s only ever been one club to have never been relegated from Div 1/ EPL.

Arsenal fc

Let’s keep making history

Can't agree, I thought Kos was very good in the first half.

He looks more like Beaker of Muppet labs with the same panicky response every day

It happens that sometimes your opponent is better on the day.
